Our people and projects are focused on supporting long-term sustainable growth and energy security.Lightsource bp was fully acquired by bp in 2024.Agrivoltaics & Land Management Intern (Environmental Affairs) - Summer 2026We're seeking an Environmental Affairs Intern to join our U.S. team for a 10-week summer internship (June-August) supporting agrivoltaics, vegetation management, and habitat restoration initiatives across our solar projects.This role is ideal for students interested in range management, horticulture, habitat restoration, and sustainable land use on renewable energy sites.Locations: Austin, TX | Denver, CO | San Francisco, CASchedule: 40 hours/week | Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)Pay: $20/hourTravel: Must be willing to travel to project sites to support agrivoltaics initiativesWhat You'll DoSupport development of native seed mixes for solar sites during pre- and post-construction phasesAssist with invasive plant species management research and guidanceResearch agrivoltaics trends and competing solar projects across the U.S.Explore innovative land-use concepts such as pastured poultry at solar facilitiesResearch agricultural technologies suitable for utility-scale solar projectsHelp develop a U.S. Invasive Plant Species Management ManualPrepare research summaries and presentations for internal teamsWhat We're Looking ForCurrently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Environmental Science, Range Management, Wildlife Management, Biology, or a related fieldKnowledge of native vegetation management, habitat restoration, or invasive species controlInterest in agrivoltaics and sustainable land use in renewable energyStrong research, writing, and communication skillsAbility to collaborate with technical and cross-functional teamsThis internship offers hands-on experience at the intersection of renewable energy, agriculture, and ecological stewardship, working alongside environmental and asset management professionals.Our company is a place where you can be yourself and grow - a place where your ideas and opinions matter.Be you: We pride ourselves on being an inclusive community, where every individual is valued and treated with respect.Be responsible: Our culture is driven by our core values.
