Applications Design EngineerApplications Design Engineer to support mechanically attached fastener installation systems. PROFIL specializes in mechanically attached fasteners (MAF) both in die (Transfer & Progressive) and Manual operations (C-frame & Hand load cell).Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct tool Design and Installation system layouts in SolidWorks and Siemens NX.Analyze tool integration feasibility of PROFIL tools in Customer Press & Die models.Manage model and drawing storage, data communication with customers and Germany sister company.Provide ongoing support for customer data needs.Assist Service Team to diagnose & troubleshoot issues with fastener feeders, and electropneumatic kits (in-die & manual operations)Cooperate with team providing feedback for improvement opportunities and lessons learnedSafety: Follow all safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees. Create and maintain a safe work environment; repair and/or report non-conformances to company safety policies and guidelines. Perform the necessary safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employeesWork Environment:Air-conditioned office and works in an unairconditioned manufacturing facilityRequires travel 25-50% in the surrounding states.Overnight travel may be requiredPhysical Demands:Able to sit or stand for 8 - 10 hours a dayAbility to lift up to 30 lbsEducation and Experience Required:Bachelors degree mechatronic engineering, mechanical engineering or related field.Proven competency in mechatronic systems (simple and complex)Prove competence in SolidWorks and NX modeling and drawingStrong interpersonal skills are required for communicating with the team and the customerExperience in tool & die (Presses & Dies) is beneficial but not requiredGood verbal and written skills are highly sought VIA Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)Problem solving skillsDetail oriented and excellent organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work under pressurePosition Type/Expectations of Working Hours:Full time positionRegularly scheduled to work 8 – 10 hours a dayMust be able to work Monday - Friday
