ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

Accounts Payable SpecialistThe Accounts Payable Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring financial integrity and operational efficiency by managing and processing accounts payable transactions accurately and timely. This position is responsible for maintaining invoice records, reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams to support accurate financial operations.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProcess and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requestsPerform account reconciliations to ensure accuracyMaintain and update vendor recordsEnter and track transactions in accounting systemsCollaborate with departments to resolve discrepanciesPrepare and process vendor paymentsEnsure deadlines are met to maintain vendor relationshipsSupport internal and external auditsEnsure compliance with policies and regulationsPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsMinimum two (2) years of accounts payable or related accounting experienceStrong knowledge of accounts payable processes, general ledger, and reconciliationAbility to meet deadlines and manage multiple prioritiesHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience in healthcare or social assistance industryAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and WordSkills & CompetenciesStrong account reconciliation skillsProficiency with accounting softwareAbility to process invoices and payments accuratelyKnowledge of general ledger processesStrong communication skills for vendor and internal interactionsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage sensitive financial information confidentiallyAll candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position.
