Maintenance Tech PositionMaintenance Technicians are responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair processes and associated equipment to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.Responsibilities include:Daily checks on operation and condition of all production equipment to ensure operation readinessAnalyzes equipment and raw material needs to ensure current and future productionPlans repair inventory, maintains equipment needs to avoid shortages and excessesControls, maintains, mixes all necessary chemicals, bonding agents, primers, oils and fluidsMaintains accurate reports, inventory and status reports as needed or requested by managementAnalyzes any delays or interruptions and advises production supervisors/workers to alleviateApplying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roofFixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuriesInspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.This is not a complete list Requirements; additional duties may be assigned as needed.Requirements:2 years of applicable experience requiredAbility to work as a team as well as being self-directedAbility to safely operation of all toolsFamiliarity with OSHA safety standards and regulationsExcellent troubleshooting skillsBasic computer and report writing skillsGood communication skillsAbility to lift and manipulate heavy equipmentGood time-management skillsRequired Physical Demands:Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.
