Job DetailsJob Location: FHC Management - Jefferson City, MO 65101Position Type: Full TimeDirector of TreasuryThe Director of Treasury is a senior finance leader responsible for shaping and executing Farmer Companies’ Treasury strategy to support liquidity, capital structure, financial risk management, and long‑term value creation. This role provides leadership across cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, financing activities, treasury operations, and internal controls, while partnering closely with Accounting, Tax, Legal, IT, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset and strong operational discipline, with the ability to modernize treasury capabilities, support enterprise decision‑making, and ensure the company maintains the financial flexibility to execute its business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesCapital Markets & FinancingLead the execution of financing strategies, including debt issuance, refinancing, and liability management initiatives that support the company’s capital objectives.Continuously assess capital structure and identify opportunities to optimize cost of capital in alignment with enterprise strategy and financial priorities.Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with banks and financing partners, including development of materials for lender discussions and ongoing stakeholder updates.Provide leadership in the evaluation, negotiation, and administration of credit facilities, loan agreements, and covenant compliance.Cash Flow Forecasting & Liquidity ManagementDirect the development and refinement of short-, medium-, and long‑term cash flow forecasts to inform liquidity strategy and executive decision‑making.Partner with business units to translate operating plans into forward‑looking cash requirements under multiple scenarios and market conditions.Oversee daily cash positions and funding requirements to ensure adequate liquidity for both operational execution and strategic priorities.Champion working capital optimization efforts and identify opportunities to strengthen free cash flow and financial flexibility.Bank Administration & CoordinationOversee the timely and controlled execution of domestic and international wire transfers in support of global treasury operations.Direct daily banking activity, including monitoring balances and transactions across accounts to maintain visibility, control, and funding readiness.Manage cash transfers to optimize liquidity positioning and support short- and long‑term funding needs.Risk & Investment ManagementHelp shape interest rate and commodity risk management strategies, as applicable, to protect the company’s financial position.Oversee the investment of excess cash in accordance with approved investment policies, liquidity objectives, and risk parameters.Monitor market trends and economic developments to assess potential impacts on borrowing costs, liquidity, and enterprise financial risk exposure.Reporting & AnalysisDeliver treasury, liquidity, and capital structure reporting that equips senior leadership and ownership with clear insight into financial position and strategic options.Provide analytical leadership for acquisitions, joint ventures, capital projects, and other strategic initiatives.Benchmark the company’s leverage, liquidity, and capital structure metrics against peers and industry standards to inform financial strategy.Ensure debt and treasury activity is recorded accurately and completely each month to support sound financial governance and reporting integrity.Partner with Accounting to ensure treasury and debt balances are accurately reflected in financial statements and related disclosures.Support financial audits, lender reviews, and other external engagements as part of the company’s broader financial stewardship responsibilities.Develop dashboards and reporting tools that enhance management visibility into key financial and treasury performance indicators.Compliance & ControlsEnsure adherence to treasury policies, debt covenants, and applicable regulatory requirements while reinforcing a strong governance framework.Maintain and strengthen internal controls over treasury and cash management activities to safeguard assets and support reliable execution.Lead support for internal and external audit activities related to treasury operations and compliance.Business Partnership & CollaborationPartner with Accounting, Tax, Legal, IT, and business leaders to align treasury strategy and execution with broader company objectives.Provide guidance and capability‑building support to business partners on treasury processes, liquidity management, and cash management practices.Design, implement, and document treasury processes and controls that promote consistency, accuracy, and operational effectiveness.Lead or support treasury‑related system implementations and enhancements that strengthen scalability and decision support.Partner with IT to automate and enhance treasury processes, reporting, and controls to improve efficiency and visibility.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CPA, and/or CTP strongly preferred.Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 7 years of progressively responsible finance and treasury experience, preferably in a corporate or privately held company environment.Expert knowledge of treasury and banking concepts, products, and services.Advanced understanding in cash management practices and cash flow forecasting techniques, including both direct and indirect forecasting methods.Ability to read, interpret, and analyze financial statements.High degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail.Equal Employment OpportunityFarmer Companies is an equal opportunity employer.
