Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary: ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with management to determine new projects Create custom engineering designs for PET preforms, bottles, and packaging to meet specific requests and requirements of the customer Provide designs within customer deadlines Manage new design projects from creation through testing process Follow-up with vendors to ensure progress to meet project timelines Manage and maintain organized database of designs to reference during future projects Work with Maintenance Manager to complete building layouts and planning during equipment expansion projects EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Strong attention to detail, ability to accurately check work to minimize mistakes3 Advanced ability to analyze data and problem solve EXPERIENCE / SKILLS Preferred Prior project management experience Preferred 5 years PET blow molding and injection molding design, and CAD design Preferred 5 years experience working in plastics manufacturing business ADDITIONAL NOTES Preform Solutions Inc. is a drug-free and Equal Opportunity employer Employment is conditional on passing a background check and drug screen Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Application Question(s): Must have PET blow molding or plastic injection molding experience.
