Lead Accounting Analyst (Financial Reporting)

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of a world-class organization.Responsibilities:Review proposed contracts and business transactions for financial risk and proper accounting treatment.Creates complex accounting analytics for internal and external reporting requirements.Interprets financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisionsPrepares and posts complex monthly journal entries.Responsible for managing and mentoring department's Finance Management Rotation (FMR) program participantTrains, supervises and manages the performance of personnel including the establishment of performance standards, objectives and annual reviews, which must be completed in a timely manner. Will formally supervise a minimum of 2.0 FTE's.Develops administrative tasks, special projects and training programs as assigned. Acts a liaison for the department in meetings with management.Develops analyses and reports to support system-wide finance executives. Prepares detailed analyses for annual audit.Prepares reconciliation of actual to budget variance analysis.Prepares general ledger account reconciliations for designated accounts. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field required.Minimum of five years of related work experience required. A Master's degree or CPA license and four years of experience will also be considered. CPA/MBA preferred. Prior experience leading/supervising staff preferred. Microsoft Office spreadsheet application required and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.
