Python Full stack developer

Location: McLean, VA

Duration: 6 months

Must Have: -At least 3 years of hands-on software development using Python and/or Java with knowledge of application, data and architecture design patterns and principles.

Nice To Have: -Experience or solid background in fixed income finance, financial accounting and capital market

Must Have Qualifications: Must have practical experience with Python, front end technologies, React, JavaScript, and web application development, along with the capability to write effective code. Ideal candidates should have 3-7 years of relevant experience. Experience or background in fixed income, account or capital markets is a plus. AI experience, including using LLMs to build agentic applications, is a plus

Job Description: Role and responsibility: Design, develop and support systems within the financial modeling, analytics, and research area. Design and develop new code and review existing code changes to ensure standard technology development practices are met. Assist in the operational execution of software solutions to assist with the monitoring and control of market and credit risks. Assist with application development and modifying and/or maintaining applications; Demonstrate knowledge of development tools and languages. Assist other areas of financial research and engineering when defining requirements for systems applications. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relatedtechnical field and 2 years of experience developing analytics software applications, OR Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field and five years of experience developing analytics software applications, Demonstrated knowledge of: Quantitative finance Python, Python web technologies, e.g. Flask, DashPython data processing technologies, e.g. Pandas, NumPySolid understanding on web applications, e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScriptSolid understanding on DB and SQLLinux/Unix OS

Preferred experience: AI Agentic programing JavaScript framework: jquery, data table, reactfront-end design, CSS, tailwindcloud technology, Google Kubeflow, AWSMortgage or GSE experienceR, Java, C, C++, SASCall Notes: Team Info:-This individual will be working with Business Analytics TeamRole Info:-Its a Full Stack role-70% back End and 30% Front End-Will be using Python for Backend and React for Front End-AI Agentic programing experience is a Plus (AI/LLM exp)-Capital Markets/fixed income experience is highly preferred.
