You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.# A Day in the LifeThe Senior Strategic Planning Manager leads the development, evaluation, and execution of medium- to long-term strategic plans and near-term annual operating planning for the Cardiac Rhythm Management business. This role partners with functional and business leaders to analyze market dynamics, assess portfolio tradeoffs, identify growth opportunities, and translate insights into actionable strategic initiatives. This high visibility and critical role drives high-quality strategic recommendations, facilitates decision-making with senior leadership, and tracks progress against key strategic priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & Business Insight Lead annual strategic planning processes, including process definition, framing strategic questions, structuring work, and building executive-ready materials. Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive moves, and macroeconomic factors to identify risks and opportunities. Develop business cases and scenario analyses to support investment and prioritization decisions across the CRM portfolio. Translate corporate and business unit strategies into clear, compelling & actionable roadmaps.* Assess and prioritize strategic initiatives across the portfolio based on strategic fit, value creation, risk, and resource requirements.* Lead financial and strategic modeling (e.g., market sizing, revenue projections, margin impact, NPV) to evaluate options and trade-offs.Executive Engagement & Communication* Prepare clear, compelling presentations and recommendations for senior leadership decision forums.* Facilitate strategic discussions and workshops with leaders to align on direction, choices, and trade-offs.* Synthesize complex information into concise insights and options for executive audiences.Cross-functional Leadership & Change Enablement* Act as a thought partner to business and functional leaders on strategic challenges and opportunities.* Lead or support select cross-functional project teams, setting direction, driving alignment, and holding teams accountable to milestones.* Support change management and communication plans to enable adoption of strategic decisions across the organization.Minimum Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, finance, or related field.* Typically 7+ years of relevant experience in strategy, corporate development, management consulting, strategic marketing, or related fields; or an advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.* Demonstrated experience leading complex strategic projects or planning processes from framing to recommendation.* Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience with market sizing, financial modeling, and business case development.* Proven ability to synthesize complex data and insights into clear, structured recommendations for senior leaders.* Experience working in cross-functional environments and influencing without direct authority.Preferred Qualifications* MBA or other advanced degree in business, strategy, finance, or related discipline.* Experience in a large, matrixed organization and comfort navigating multiple stakeholders and priorities.* Experience in the medical device industry* Strong problem-solving skills, including use of strategic frameworks and hypothesis-driven approaches.* Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including creation of executive-ready presentations.* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Competencies* Strategic thinking and long-range planning.* Business and financial acumen.* Influence and stakeholder management.* Structured problem solving and analytical rigor.* Execution, accountability, and follow-through.* Collaboration and relationship building.* Adaptability and learning agility.For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
