Job Description: Provide direct, exceptional dermatological and cosmetic care to patientsCosmetic Performs cosmetic consultations and develops individualized aesthetic treatment plans based on patient goals and expectationsProvides cosmetic injectable treatments including neurotoxins (Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, Daxxify®) and dermal fillers for facial rejuvenation and contouringAssesses facial anatomy and demonstrates advanced understanding of cosmetic injection techniques and patient safety protocolPerforms laser and light-based treatments including IPL, laser resurfacing, vascular lesion treatment, pigment reduction, hair removal, and skin rejuvenation proceduresProvides cosmetic procedures including chemical peels, microneedling, PRP/PRF treatments, scar revision therapies, and other non-surgical aesthetic servicesEducates patients on cosmetic treatment options, skincare regimens, pre- and post-procedure care, expected outcomes, and maintenance plansIdentifies and manages potential cosmetic treatment complications and adverse reactions appropriately and timely Works collaboratively with supervising physicians and aesthetic staff to ensure high-quality cosmetic outcomes and patient satisfaction Maintains knowledge of current cosmetic dermatology trends, products, devices, and emerging technologies through continuing education and trainingPromotes practice growth through cosmetic patient retention, community outreach, patient education, and development of long-term aesthetic treatment relationshipsDocuments cosmetic consultations, procedures, patient photographs, informed consent, and follow-up care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record Assists in maintaining compliance with all safety standards and protocols related to cosmetic lasers, devices, and injectable treatments Experience with medical-grade skincare products and ability to recommend appropriate treatment regimens to support procedural outcomes preferred Ability to build rapport with cosmetic patients while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced aesthetic environmentProfessional Demonstrates initiative and responsibility Able to perform repetitive tasks without loss of focusAdheres to ethical principlesTime ManagementAdapts to changeAttends all team meetings and mandatory in-service training/educationCommunicationRecognizes and respects cultural diversityAdapts communication to individual’s ability to understandUses professional, pleasant telephone etiquetteUses medical terminology appropriatelyTreats all patients and co-workers with compassion, empathy, and mutual respectProjects a professional manner and imageConsistent attendance and punctualityLegalMaintains confidentiality and documents accuratelyUses appropriate guidelines for releasing patient informationPractices within the scope of education, training, and personal capabilitiesConducts self in accordance with Suncoast’s Employee Handbook.Maintains awareness of federal and state health care legislation and regulations; OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIAPhysical DemandsProlonged standing/walkingOccasional travelMultitaskingRepetitive head, neck, hands wrists and arm motion/rotationExtensive reading, writing, typing requiredLifting to 25lbsFrequent use of office administrative, computer and medical equipmentTransferring and positioning patientsQualifications and Education RequirementsPossession of a bachelor’s and master’s degree, together with a certificate from completing an American Medical Association approved physician assistant/APRN programExperience with cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic procedures required, including injectables, lasers, body contouring, and advanced skincare treatmentsPossession of active Florida medical licenseMay possess a National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) issued certificatePossession of state and federal Controlled Substance RegistrationSome clinical experience in an area of specialtyKnowledgeable in computer programs, EMR systems, customer service, excellent verbal communication skills
