Prevention Educator

Elizabeth Freeman Center seeks a dynamic, full-time Prevention Educatorto provide violence prevention and sex education programming primarilyto local students and youth. Passion for working with youth, knowledgeof domestic and/or sexual violence, and/or commitment to social justicestrongly preferred. Responsibilities include: - Work directly with youthto offer engaged programming on: healthy relationships and healthysexuality; preventing teen dating violence, sexual violence, andbullying; and developing youth leadership and bystander awareness -Nurture relationships with schools and youth organizations - Providetrainings to educators and administrators on responding to youthviolence, fostering positive school culture, and addressing implicitbias - Offer support, advocacy, assistance, and referrals when studentsdisclose experiences with violence - Develop curricula and coordinatetraining - Contribute to other outreach and collaboration efforts,including: collaborating with community partners in countywide efforts;attending coalition meetings; offering community education presentationsto other service providers and community members; disseminating programoutreach materials; and tabling at community events - Contribute tosocial media campaigns - Keep excellent records and fulfill allreporting requirements - Participate in internal programmatic meetings,supervision, committees, and projects, and complete any additionaltraining recommended by supervisor - Maintain appropriate andprofessional boundaries with youth and adult participants and adhere tostrict guidelines and protocols to ensure client confidentiality - Otherduties as assigned to promote agency mission Preferred qualifications: -Passion for, and experience in, working with youth - Commitment todiversity, social justice, anti-violence, and anti-oppression work -Connection to local community - Excellent skills in youth groupfacilitation, verbal and written communication, computers/technology,organization, and collaboration - Ability to work well as a part of ateam and independently - Must successfully pass Criminal RecordCheck-CORI, suitability to work with minors check, and have validMassachusetts driver\'s license and reliable transportation Work Hours:Full-time. This position currently begins at \$24per hour (\$49,920 annualized), plus yearend bonuses dependent onfunding. EFC pays 85% of health insurance premiums and contributes to anFSA.
