Work directly with developers and site reliability engineers to ensure reliability, scalability and performance of our Online Product databases. Assist with product development and systems teams to design and build fast, reliable database infrastructure. Participate in database and infrastructure deployment activities for applications hosted on-premise and in AWS Support. Support development, test and production environments, and participate in rotating on-call support to ensure high availability of our mission critical web applications. Code, configure, integrate and manage tools to enhance the database infrastructure. Propose and implement automation to eliminate manual operations. May telecommute up to 40%. Required Qualifications: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Sciences, Business Analytics, or a related field and no experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Sciences, Business Analytics, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Database Engineer-related occupation. Position requires demonstrable experience with each of the following: Demonstrated expertise with SQL Language. Knowledge of SQL Server, MariaDB or MySQL. Demonstrated experience with one of the following scripting proficiencies including PowerShell, Python, or bash. Demonstrated experience with Public Cloud. Demonstrated experience with one of the following source code managements including Git, Perforce, or Subversion. Demonstrated expertise with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or DocumentDB. Demonstrated expertise with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity. Experience may be gained during graduate program. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience. Multiple positions available.
