This is a hands-on media leadership role created as part of a planned retirement, with a six-month overlap for knowledge transfer and onboarding.Location & AvailabilityFulltime, on-site role (5 days/week) in Highland Park, ILStart ASAPNo relocation assistance availableAbout the RoleThis role goes beyond media planning or buying alone. You'll own end-to-end media strategy, execution, optimization, and budget management, with a strong focus on co-op marketing, including matched brand funds. You'll manage approximately 15 co-op brand programs, support ongoing campaigns and eventsYou'll partner closely with an external digital agency executing day-to-day campaigns across Google, Meta, Reddit, search, and emerging AI-driven channels, while maintaining responsibility for strategy, performance, pacing, and optimization. The role also manages internal support, including a co-op specialist, and requires strong relationships with traditional media outlets (OOH, print, premium placements).What You'll DoLead paid media strategy and execution across digital, paid social, search, programmatic, and traditional mediaOwn media budgets, pacing, reconciliation, reporting, and vendor managementManage co-op media programs and brand partner relationshipsOptimize live campaigns using performance insights, A/B testing, and audience strategiesCollaborate with Creative and Marketing teams on campaigns, timelines, and assetsEvaluate and test emerging media and advertising opportunitiesOversee and mentor junior or specialist support rolesWhat We're Looking For5+ years of hands-on media buying and execution experience (not strategy-only)Background in luxury or retail brands, agency or in-houseProven experience with co-op marketing and fund managementDeep familiarity with Meta, Google, paid search, programmatic, and traditional media (TV/OOH/print/radio)Strong negotiation, budget management, and performance optimization skillsComfortable managing agencies, vendors, and multiple concurrent initiativesIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
