This is what makes Konecranes a unique place to work.Job DescriptionJOB POSITION SUMMARYThe Logistics & Material Handling Specialist is responsible for supporting daily shipping, receiving, and production material flow. This role performs short haul deliveries using a 24' stake bed truck requiring a valid DOT physical, safely operates forklifts and overhead cranes to move and unload materials, and ensures accurate picking, staging, and placement of inventory. Additional duties include unloading containers, verifying materials, organizing warehouse locations, and delivering materials to production to maintain efficient workflow.RESPONSIBILITIES:Essential Job functions related to shipping and receiving and material handlingDaily work expectations, supporting, production and logistics operationOperate a 24' stake-bed truck for short haul deliveries (DOT-compliant)Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to safely move and unload materials.Pick, stage and deliver materials to production areas as requiredMaintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation and scanningAssist with unloading containers and verifying incoming materialsMaintain organized warehouse locations, staging areas, and workflow pathsPerform daily equipment inspections (forklifts, truck, cranes)Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or issues to leadershipPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsREQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:Forklift Operation - Ability to safely operate sit‐down and/or stand‐up forkliftsOverhead Crane Operation - Safe rigging and load-handling skillsTruck Operation - Ability to operate a 24' stake bed truck for short‐haul deliveriesDOT Compliance - Must pass and maintain a valid DOT physical; working knowledge of DOT rulesLoad Securement - Proper use of straps, chains, binders, and general load‐tie‐down practicesMaterial Handling - Ability to pick, stage, and move materials safely and accuratelyShipping & Receiving Knowledge - Experience with BOLs, packing lists, and freight documentationInventory & ERP Systems - Basic data entry, RF scanning, and familiarity with inventory softwareSafety Awareness - Strong understanding of OSHA‐compliant work practices and PPE requirementsCommunication Skills - Clear communication with drivers, production teams, and vendorsAttention to Detail - Ability to check orders, counts, and paperwork for accuracyTime Management - Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‐paced shipping environmentPhysical Capability - Able to lift 50-75 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in warehouse conditionsTeamwork & Reliability - Dependable, cooperative, and able to support multiple departments as needed*EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 1-3 years of experience in Shipping, Receiving, Material Handling, or Warehouse OperationsPrior forklift operation experience required (certification preferred, or ability to obtain upon hire)Experience operating overhead cranes preferredExperience driving a non‐CDL commercial vehicle (e.g., 24' stake bed truck) highly preferredExperience with load securement (straps, chains, binders) preferredExperience using RF scanners or inventory management systemsBasic computer skills for data entry, emails, and printing documentsDemonstrated experience working safely in an industrial or manufacturing environmentMust meet Department of Transportation (DOT) medical requirements for operating company vehiclesOTHER REQUIREMENTS:Ability to travel internationally, locally and outside the service area for operational requirements & training when necessary.* 30% Travel required.Additional InformationWhat we offer:Benefits: Medical Plan, Dental, Vision, 401k plan with a match from day one, identity theft protection, accident insurance, travel insurance and so much more!Vacation: 2 weeks of vacation per year (pro-rated for the first year depending on start date). 5-12 years of service, 3 weeks. 13+ years of service, 4 weeks.Sick Leave: 5 days of Sick Leave per year.
