Job Title: Information and Technology - Engineer II, Systems InfrastructureDuration : 6 MonthsLocation: US - Cambridge, MA -o Lead technical projects with multiple stakeholders involving cross functional teams to achieve desired outcomeso Engage with offsite corporate IT department in multiple projects to replace or upgrade current infrastructureo Respond to and resolve incidents/faults logged against applications/systems supported by the Application/Desktop/Infrastructure team to agreed SLA's and KPI'so Ensure any quality management processes to the team's activities are followed, e.g. ensuring all support methods, procedures and tools are robust, fully tested, of high quality and fit for purposeo Recommend and assist with developing improvements around support processes, tools, standards and the overall performance and level of support providedo Provide backup assistance to the Site Lead to liaise with the Business Teamso Aid multiple teams in the testing and deployment of application/software changes/releases through the formal change management processes, including systems located in laboratorieso Develop and maintain standard support procedures & other documentation as required to ensure the support, availability, and continuity of IT services to agreed SLA's and KPI'so Participate in the process of integrating and releasing new application/software/systems functionality into 'business-as-usual' environment, ensuring all service acceptance and operational deliverables have been successfully developed and agreed prior to handovero Proactively monitor applications/systems to capture potential issues (e.g. alerts, performance) before they occur, in accordance with monitoring/maintenance procedureso Participate in service operational reviews, ensuring SLA, KPI & other data/information is provided to assist with such reviews & identify improvements to the services providedo Care for and manage VMware virtual machines including the underlying architecture such as clustering and switcheso Monitor service requests for supported business applications/systems, ensuring full compliance to agreed SLA's, security policies and procedureso Care for and manage Audio Visual support tools supporting training and conference roomso Provide weekly status reports to management with updates on assigned projectso Participate in a planned program of professional development that maintains growth in professional skills and knowledgeo Apply Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibilityo Demonstrate and promote the company visiono Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient mannero Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedo Ability to work evenings and weekends on occasion as needed during planned or unplanned downtimeo The ability to travel approximately 10% of the timeo Comfortable working in what can best be described as a "startup" environmento Ability to work through ambiguity and determine best course of action where clarity is uncertaino Tenacity in closing projects on time and within budget, a willingness to do what it takes to get the job doneo Strong desire to learn about new technologies as neededo A focus on building customer devotion that includes a service-oriented mindseto Passionate about producing high quality worko Excellent time management skillso Ability to work in a team structure, make decisions, solve problems, communicate inside & outside the organizationo Ability to analyze, plan, organize and prioritize worko Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment, inclusive of conflict resolutiono Uses good judgement in gathering input for decisions and demonstrates capacity to make decisions or recommendations based on area of assigned responsibilityo Ability to quickly understand and adjust to changing business needso Awareness of ITIL Foundationso Strong negotiating and influencing skillso Strong written and verbal communication skillso Strong customer service/relationship building skillsComments for Suppliers:Must Have: Cisco Networking, Active DirectoryPreferred: TCP IP, Windows ServerDesireds: Wireless Networking
