Senior Estimator Denver, COPosition OverviewThe company is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction estimating activities for large-scale and technically complex construction projects. This role requires a collaborative professional capable of working across multiple stakeholder groups while maintaining flexibility, organization, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.The Senior Estimator will oversee the full estimating lifecycle - from early conceptual pricing through final bid preparation - ensuring accurate cost development, effective coordination, and strategic planning aligned with project objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead estimating efforts for complex construction projects from conceptual phases through final pricingDevelop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and cost models, including self-perform scopes where applicablePlan and coordinate estimating strategies, schedules, and submission processesIdentify and prequalify subcontractors and vendors for bid participationAssign and coordinate work within the estimating team, ensuring completeness and accuracyPerform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and evaluation of subcontractor proposalsResearch applicable tax requirements, labor agreements, permitting considerations, and regulatory impactsPrepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) during the estimating phaseMaintain ongoing communication with internal teams, owners, architects, engineers, and consultantsEnsure alignment and clarity around project scope, pricing assumptions, and estimate updatesAnalyze historical cost data and benchmarks to support estimate accuracySupport evaluation of building systems, construction methodologies, and estimating technologiesAssist with development and coordination of project schedules during preconstructionMentor and provide leadership to estimating team members, including training and performance supportRequired QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum nine (9) years of construction industry experienceAt least six (6) years of dedicated estimating experienceStrong understanding of construction methodologies, pricing strategies, and industry practicesWorking knowledge of construction law fundamentals and accepted business practicesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skillsStrong mathematical and analytical capabilitiesProficiency with industry estimating tools and software, including:ISqFtICE / Bid2WinOn-Screen Takeoff (OST)Bluebeam or similar PDF toolsGoogle Earth or comparable platformsValid driver's license requiredPreferred QualificationsLEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)DBIA certification or similar professional credentialsCompensation & BenefitsThe company offers a competitive compensation package including:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) retirement plan with employer matchPaid time off and paid holidaysEmployer-paid life and disability insuranceMental health and wellness resourcesTuition reimbursement opportunitiesAdoption assistance programsFitness and wellness discountsCompensation range for this position is approximately $140,000 - $215,000, depending on experience, skills, and market factors.Additional InformationCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
