Right Time.Job SummaryIf you're the kind of person who notices when something is slightly off and can't let it go until it's fixed, keep reading.We're partnering with an innovative plastics manufacturer in the St. Louis area (yes, the kind doing real production, not just talking about it) to add a Quality Assurance Technician to their team. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail directly impacts production, customer satisfaction, and overall plant performance.This isn't a clipboard-only QA job. You'll be on the floor, in the process, making sure what goes out the door is right the first time.What You'll Be DoingPerform in-process and final inspections on plastic products (dimensions, appearance, functionality)Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipmentDocument inspection results and maintain accurate quality recordsIdentify defects, non-conforming materials, and production issues earlyWork closely with production teams to troubleshoot quality concerns in real timeSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions (not just pointing fingers, actually solving problems)Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and customer specificationsAssist with audits and continuous improvement initiativesWhat You Bring to the TableExperience in plastics manufacturing (injection molding, blow molding, extrusion... you get the idea)Background in quality inspection or QA in a production environmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and work instructionsHands-on experience with measurement tools and inspection techniquesStrong attention to detail (the real kind, not the "I double-check emails" kind)Ability to communicate clearly with operators, supervisors, and leadershipComfort working on the production floor in a fast-paced environmentWhat Sets You ApartExperience with ISO standards or regulated environmentsKnowledge of root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)Familiarity with plastic materials, defects, and processing issuesA mindset that focuses on prevention, not just inspectionWhy This Role Stands OutStable, growing manufacturing environment with long-term opportunityTeam that values quality and actually listens to QA input (rare, we know)Opportunity to expand your skillset across processes and equipmentCompetitive pay, benefits, and a company that invests in its peopleThe Bottom Line
