They monitor and assess patients, administer medications, collaborate with the healthcare team, and provide emotional support to patients and their families during their time in the ICU. Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Monitor and assess patients' conditions in the ICU 2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians 3. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans 4. Educate patients and their families on their condition and treatment options 5. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families 6. Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate interventions 7. Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records 8. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulations Qualifications and Skills: 1. Valid RN license in the state of practice 2. BLS and ACLS certification 3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU nursing 4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills 5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment 7. Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems 8.
