Registered Nurse

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience across various specialties, including critical care, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and outpatient settings. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, conducting assessments, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks is preferred. The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care in diverse environments such as hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and home health settings. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation. Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and sterile techniques. Manage complex medical procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations (urinary, central line), tube feedings, and ventilator support. Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, phlebotomy, and imaging procedures like sonography or mammography. Provide acute pain management, wound suturing, ostomy care, and infection control measures. Utilize EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Cerner) for accurate documentation of patient care and medical records. Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas such as cardiology (cardiac catheterization), nephrology (dialysis), infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, and trauma medicine. Participate in discharge planning, case management, health coaching, and patient education tailored to individual needs including geriatrics, pediatric care (neonatal ventilator), and patients with disabilities or developmental challenges. Ensure compliance with safety protocols including aseptic technique and infection control standards. Respond to emergencies in high-acuity environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or ICU settings; perform airway management and basic life support when necessary. Requirements Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice. Proven experience across multiple specialties such as ICU (Level II trauma center experience), emergency room (ER experience), medical-surgical units, outpatient clinics, or post-acute care settings. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience administering injections (including immunizations), IV insertion/infusion therapy, catheter care (urinary or central lines), and specimen collection/processing. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients of all ages including children (toddler care) and elderly populations requiring memory or dementia care. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law is a plus for occupational health roles. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening prior to employment.
