Field Service Technician with Security Clearance
Job Title: Field Service Technician Location: Santa Clara,CA Contract: TDY 6 Month - Possible Extension Clearance: TS/SCISalary Range: 80-000-130,000 yearly Field Service Technician Location: Santa Clara, CA Worksite: Onsite Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm PST Duration: 6 month contract Clearance: Active TS/SCI required Position Summary We are seeking experienced Field Service Technicians to support a government customer onsite in Santa Clara, CA. This role will support installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of enterprise servers, storage, operating systems, applications, networking equipment, and workstation environments. The technician will follow documented installation procedures and support hands-on deployment work across server rooms, workstation areas, and enterprise infrastructure environments. Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, test, and maintain HPE, SuperMicro, and Dell servers.Support storage and appliance platforms such as NetApp, EMC PowerMax, Dell ECS, and similar systems.Install operating systems on bare metal and virtual environments, including Windows Server, Windows, RHEL, Linux, and VMware.Install and configure applications using documented technical procedures.Support EDA tool installation, FlexLM license server activities, environment setup scripts, and data transfer activities.Install servers and appliances in prebuilt environments and manufacturing server rooms.Perform boxing, unboxing, racking, unracking, power cabling, labeling, and relabeling.Install and move network and fiber cables for servers, desktops, and appliances.Set up and configure workstations, including computers, monitors, keyboards, and related equipment.Work closely with technical leads, team members, and customer stakeholders. Required QualificationsActive TS/SCI security clearance.3 to 7 years of hands on experience installing equipment, operating systems, and technical infrastructure.Experience with one or more of the following: HPE, SuperMicro, Dell servers, Cisco, Windows, EMC, Linux, Kubernetes, NetApp, EMC PowerMax, Dell ECS, or similar enterprise platforms.Experience installing, configuring, testing, or troubleshooting servers, storage, networks, workstations, or appliances.Strong networking knowledge.Ability to follow documented technical instructions and installation procedures.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred QualificationsSecurity+ or networking certification.Experience supporting government, DoD, intelligence community, or classified customer environments.Experience with VMware, RHEL, Linux, Windows Server, Kubernetes, FlexLM, EDA tools, data center work, server rooms, rack and stack, cabling, or field service deployments.
