In this role, you will interface with customers and teams to develop and implement test plans, test cases, test data, accessibility test plans, and automated scripts for our government customers.ResponsibilitiesMaintain test environments and test dataHelp identify, document, and track application defectsLeverage and maintain automated testing frameworks to analyze test results and debug failuresCreate and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure the on-time, high-quality delivery of the product in accordance with the project scheduleCreate and maintain Unit Tests and Regression TestsProvide recommendations to improve automated testing frameworks and testing processes for the teamConduct 508 testing to ensure compliance with accessibility requirementsAttend requirements gathering meetings to better understand business needs, functional and system requirementsConstruct testing documents, including a testing plan, test cases, test data, and test scripts to ensure compliance with business requirementsCollaborate with the development team to ensure successful implementation of the needed business, functional and system requirementsProvide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impedimentsUnderstand, visualize and manage upstream/downstream dependenciesDrive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunityWork across stakeholders and teams to continuously improve.Participated with management and cross-functional teams as subject matter experts to develop and improve operating policies and procedures related to user workflows and be an advocate for user community.Work with stakeholders and development team to provide production support and on-call support as neededRequirementsRequired Qualifications:All candidates must pass public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government. This requires candidates to either be U.S. citizens or pass clearance through the Foreign National Government System which will require that candidates have lived within the United States for at least 3 out of the previous 5 years, have a valid and non-expired passport from their country of birth and appropriate VISA/work permit documentation.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.4+ years of test experience (automated, manual test experience, 508, APIs, User Acceptance Testing)Experienced testing responsively designed web experiencesExperience collecting inputs from users and supporting users with potential workaround.Experience working independently as the sole testing resource on a small development team.Experience with PlaywrightExperience using Gitlab and CI/CD platformsExperience in AWS cloud architectureExperience validating internationalization requirementsExperience working across multiple mobile form factorsStrong analytical skills and innovative thinkingDemonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing and explaining technical and project related information to customer, vendors, senior management and staff.Desired QualificationsStrong knowledge and experience in software development in an agile environmentExperienced with testing tools and frameworks such as pytest, vitest, TestNG and JMeterExperience with accessibility testing toolsExperience as a contractor or government employeeExperience working with AccelQWorking EnvironmenteSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager.Occasional travel for training and project meetings.
