Lionsgate Academy specializes in educating students living with Autism and other learning differences and offers more than a typical school.HEALTH TEACHING POSITION:Grades 7-12, block schedule, 6 classes with 8-15 students/classDevelop and deliver engaging health education lessons on topics such as nutrition, mental health, substance abuse prevention, and physical fitness.Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and open discussion.Assess student understanding through tests, projects, and class participation, and adjust teaching methods as needed.Collaborate with parents, service providers, and other staff to support student health and well-being.Stay updated on current health trends and guidelines to provide accurate and relevant information.OUR STAFF:Collaborate daily with team membersHave full benefit options including medical, vision, disability, HSA, FSA, 403b and free dental80 hours Paid Time Off in the school yearAre passionate about the work they do in a fun and rewarding environmentReceive mentor supportHave summers off and the opportunity to work Extended School Year (summer school)We offer:$37,500 - $70,000 depending on education and experienceMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Possession of a valid Minnesota Teaching License in the appropriate licensure area through Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB): HealthAbility to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete required job tasksPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:If not currently or appropriately licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive an Out of Field Permission or Tier 1 or Tier 2 Teaching LicenseClassroom teaching and teaming experience with special education and regular education service teams.Experience and/or expertise with students on the Autism spectrum
