Estimator
Location: Hartland, Wisconsin

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Estimator to support our Purchasing & Estimating team. This role is responsible for managing change orders, supporting pre-contract and internal pricing requests, maintaining pricing resources, and assisting with financial review processes.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of residential construction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Change Order Creation & Management
Manage the change order inbox daily to ensure timely intake and processing
Review requests for completeness, scope clarity, and approvals
Create and process all change order types:
Field change orders
Selections change orders
Allowance adjustments
Pre-contract pricing
Ensure correct classification (subcontract, PO, material, cost code)
Price all change orders using approved pricing resources
Validate allowance adjustments against selections and contracts
Coordinate with Selections, Project Management, and Finance
Enter and maintain change orders in Sage
Upload executed documents to appropriate locations
Identify and escalate scope gaps, pricing discrepancies, or margin concerns
Enforce applicable fees (change order, engineering, etc.)
Pre-Contract Pricing Support (Sales)
Provide pricing support for proposals, revisions, and contracts
Validate pricing assumptions against current standards
Assist Sales with pricing structure, allowances, and upgrades
Ensure alignment with department margins and pricing expectations
Document all pricing inputs and assumptions
Communicate risks, exclusions, and limitations prior to contract execution
Pricing Resource Maintenance
Maintain and update internal pricing databases and tools
Track pricing changes by trade, vendor, and category
Ensure consistency across all pricing platforms
Coordinate updates with Purchasing and leadership
Communicate pricing changes and available resources to Sales, Selections, and internal teams
Financial Review & Support
Assist with job cost reconciliation and budget validation
Support Finance in resolving discrepancies
Address items from:
· AP / AR reports
· Change order review reports
o Coordinate with internal teams to clarify scope and pricing questions
o Provide timely follow-up on items impacting financial reporting
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in construction, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred not required depending on experience level).
Degree or professional certification (examples below) is a plus.
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
Certified Estimating Professional (CPE)
Experience:
Understands residential construction basic practices and building components.
Proven track record of managing job budgets, overseeing bid processes, and change orders.
3–5+ years in estimating, purchasing, residential construction or a related field.

Excellent organizational and time management skills
Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
Effective communication and cross-team collaboration
Proficiency in:
Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, One Drive, Adobe
Sage 100 (preferred)
Buildertrend, Bluebeam (preferred)

Working Conditions:
o Full-time, in-office role in Hartland, WI
o Occasional coordination with field and vendor partners
