LocationOklahoma City, OKJob TypeFull-timeJob SummaryLeads projects to develop new and/or improve products to meet customer requirements and develops new technologies for continued Valiant growth and financial success.Job FunctionsProvide technical leadership in the design and development of AL and related pumping systems. Responsible for the design, integration, and compliance of the system to the design specificationsPerform detailed analysis relevant to electrical submersible and horizontal pumping systems and components, establish design practices and proceduresDevelop and test new designs to implement new products or technologies into the product offerings when they prove financially beneficial to the immediate and long-term objectives of the organizationMonitor Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s), feedback from operations, failure analysis, warranty and sales request issues to identify potential product/technology improvement needs/opportunities; and collaborates with other business units to assess feasibility of new product/technology development projectsManage expedited ECN’s through the company department requirements and approval process to capitalize on business opportunities to quickly get new/modified products to customers that meet company quality and financial standardsCollaborate with vendors to manufacture and procure prototype components to support cost effective sources of products that can enhance cost savings and enhance the company’s product delivery capabilityCollaborate with shop and lab personnel to assemble and test and improve prototype components or new processes for feasibility within the companyProvide technical support to manufacturing and sales units to assist with potential sales and enhanced production technologies to assess improvements and business opportunitiesRoutinely work with drafters/designers to produce and update engineering drawings to assure that drawings and work instructions are current and support effective manufacturing standardsContinuously define, revise and improve engineering processes for improved quality and efficiency in responding to internal and external customer needs (i.e. – reduce backlog and response time of ECN’s, improved tracking of tasks, implementing Lean tools, etc.)Comply with Company policy and procedures, whether written or communicated verbally, including the instructions and directions from individuals in direct supervisory positionsEducation/License/CertificationsA Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) is required for this positionMust have and maintain a valid state driver’s licenseExperienceESP engineering experience is required for this positionSkills/KnowledgeExpertise in plastic and metal part design, including machined metal and sheet metalExpertise with design cycle from concept to manufacturingSolidWorks fluencyExpertise in the areas of: GD&T, tolerance analysis, statistical analysis, design of experiments, FEA, thermal design, and fluid mechanicsBasic knowledge of manufacturing processes and ERP systems is preferredSupplemental Pay TypesBonus PayAll Job ListingsQuality ManagerCable Shop TechnicianBusiness Development ManagerField Service TechnicianTest Shop TechnicianProduct Engineer (ESP) — MechanicalProduct Engineer (ESP) – Electrical
