Technology Helpdesk Support Specialist

Technology Helpdesk Support Specialist Selectron Technologies, Inc., is seeking a versatile self-starter to expand our Technology Operations department. This new member of our team will primarily take ownership of internal Help Desk support, including handling reported desktop, application and network issues. In addition, supporting end users in-person, via email, and occasional phone/remote support, as well as possessing the drive to take ownership of the issues and see them through to completion are all critical components to being successful in this position. Additionally, Technology Helpdesk Support Specialist will have opportunities to take the reins of smaller Technology projects and team up with others on larger efforts involving server and networking infrastructure and enterprise applications. We have a dynamic and challenging environment and there are numerous opportunities for a motivated and talented person to contribute in a variety of ways.THIS POSITION IS AN IN-PERSON role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide internal end-user support for desktops, applications and peripherals, both in person as well as via phone, e-mail, and Slack. Utilize creative troubleshooting skills and leverage available resources to see issues through from start to finish New user setup, including imaging PCs and managing/updating PC images, setting up accounts and other related tasks PC refreshes, including migration of user data and customizations Printer and fax machine troubleshooting and maintenance Ownership of Technologyprojects as assigned. Examples might include software rollouts and upgrades, improving and updating documentation and training materials, physical to virtual machine conversions, implementing/improving monitoring systems, physical server replacement and migration, and others In conjunction with the VP of Operations, take an active role in planning and implementing larger project WHO WE ARE: Selectron Technologies is a privately owned software company that has been in business for over 60 years. We offer a competitive salary, full benefits, a 401(k) match, and a profit share program. 3-5 years of combined education and experience related to desktop PC, network, server and application support Excellent written and verbal communication skills and desk-side manner that translate to end users at all levels of the organization Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues Good knowledge and experience troubleshooting PC hardware, software and networking issues, including Windows 10 and common office applications Experience working with Microsoft Server 2012R2 - 2016 2019, domain controllers and AD Exposure to or experience working with one or more of the following technologies: Microsoft Exchange 2019 Salesforce ZOOM Phone and Meetings Networking infrastructure and concepts, including routing and VLANs Microsoft SQL Server HyperV/VMWare Demonstrated attention to details, organization, and ability to prioritize tasks Reliable attendance with some schedule flexibility. Some after-hours and weekend work may be necessary DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Certifications relevant to the position from Microsoft, CompTIA or other vendors
