Harness Technician

EthosEnergy is currently seeking a Harness Technician to help support our Aerospace and Defense, FAA approved component repair facility located in Duncan South Carolina. This role will be responsible for all work assigned, accuracy and quality of job performed as it relates to cleaning, assembling, disassembling and testing electrical repair scopes of wire and/or thermocouple harnesses with the authority to carry out all tasks as assigned. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in aircraft electrical component repair or closely related field. To be qualified for this position, one must be mentally coherent and free from the influence of drugs (either illegal or legally prescribed drugs that may cause impairment) while performing in the capacity of “safety-sensitive” duties/operations per FAA regulations.Please note that by submitting your application, you acknowledge and consent that the information you provide will be shared with Wencor Group for the purposes of assessing your suitability for the role.Job ResponsibilitiesClean, assemble, disassemble and test electrical wire harness, thermocouples, speed sensors and any electrical components removed for repair/overhaulAbility to read complex blueprints specifications, charts and follow work orders and engineering instructions as required by the job scope and mandatory regulationsComplete tasks in a timely mannerEnsure adherence to Safety Rules and RegulationsPerform high levels of housekeeping are maintained within work areaEnsure work is carried out in accordance with QHSE policyMaintain a commitment to Company ValuesProduce work that is comprehensive in scope and detailPerform any additional tasks as requiredRequired Skills / KnowledgeKnowledge of company’s policies and proceduresKnowledge of computer software (MS Office WORD, EXCEL, and ACCESS/internet navigation)Knowledge of basic data entry and/or word processingKnowledge of hand tools, i.e. multimeters, meggers and test equipment, solders, wire cuttersKnowledge of machine shop theory, shop mathematics and layout techniquesSkilled in oral and written communication (English)Skilled in operating computers and office equipment (fax machines, copiers, phone system, etc.)Skilled in use of various hand tools (multimeters, meggers and test equipment)Ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to organize workload to meet deadlinesAbility to communicate effectively (both written and oral)Ability to follow oral and written instructionsAbility to read, write, speak and understand English per FAA RegulationsAbility to aid in auditsAbility to focus on results, even when dealing with diverse, complex tasks and different jobs and projectsAbility to think and concentrate for long periods of timeAbility to perform mathematical calculations associated with repair work scopesAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to train others as requiredAbility to be flexible with work scheduleAbility to learn tasks required to perform the jobAbility to analyze and solve repair/overhaul problemsExperience1 to 2 years’ experience in aircraft electrical component repair or closely related fieldEducation RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentPhysical RequirementsProfessional appearance and demeanorGood dexterity (grip, grasp, clutch)PunctualAbility to lift up to 50lbs.Ability to use of dry cleaning solventsAbility to sit/stand for up to 8 hours a dayRepetitive motion of hands and wristSome exposure to noise associated with a shop environmentEthosEnergy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
