Kitchen Manager

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant management. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, controlling inventory, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Kitchen Manager will play a vital role in maintaining high-quality food production and fostering a positive team environment to ensure smooth restaurant operations. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste. Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety, hygiene practices, and efficient food handling procedures. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols and sanitation standards. Coordinate shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours. Monitor food production to maintain consistency and quality across all menu items. Assist in budgeting, cost control, and maintaining operational efficiency. Lead staff recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing training & development initiatives. Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership, motivation, and performance management. Collaborate with other restaurant departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in food service management or restaurant management roles; fine dining or casual dining experience preferred. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a hospitality setting. Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations; certification in food safety is a plus. Ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and cost analysis efficiently. Previous experience in shift management within a quick service or fast-food restaurant is advantageous. Hospitality management background with experience in catering or banquet settings is beneficial. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
