Project Manager III – HealthcareOur client, a leading healthcare organization dedicated to improving member and provider experiences, is seeking experienced Project Managers III to support large-scale, enterprise-level initiatives across multiple business areas. These individuals will lead complex, cross-functional projects from inception through completion while partnering closely with leadership, stakeholders, and operational teams within a fast-paced and evolving PMO environment. This team is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking Project Managers who can quickly orient themselves, navigate ambiguity, and confidently drive projects forward with limited direction while proactively managing risks, priorities, and stakeholder expectations.Type: Contract – 12+ Months DurationPay Range: $60.00 – 70.00/hr., DOELocation: Mostly Remote - Occasional Travel RequiredCandidates must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hoursPreference may be given to West Coast candidates if finalists are closely alignedTravel flexibility is required and may vary depending on project assignment (occasional to more frequent during onboarding/project ramp-up periods)Travel expenses will be reimbursed through the clientTargeted onboarding timeframe is Mid-to-Late June 2026Current Openings Include:Front Office Project Manager (Sales, Marketing, Product, Digital, E-Commerce)Finance Project Manager (Financial Operations, Procurement, Underwriting, Actuarial)2 General Healthcare Project Managers (Claims, Call Center, Pharmacy, Provider Relations, Health Services, HR, Communications, Legal, Customer Service)Responsibilities of the Project Manager III:Lead large-scale, cross-functional projects from initiation through successful completion, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectivesManage multiple concurrent projects while overseeing timelines, dependencies, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communicationDevelop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, status reporting, and governance documentationPartner closely with organizational leadership, operational teams, business stakeholders, and technical partners to drive project execution and alignmentFacilitate project meetings, executive updates, and cross-functional discussions while proactively addressing risks, issues, and roadblocksManage scope, budgeting, resource planning, and change management activities throughout the project lifecycleDrive projects forward independently within a fast-moving PMO environment, demonstrating strong judgment, initiative, and adaptabilityAnalyze project challenges, identify operational impacts, and implement practical solutions to maintain project momentumAssemble and coordinate project teams while providing direction, accountability, and support to stakeholders and team membersMonitor project performance through metrics, reporting, and analysis to ensure successful delivery and operational effectivenessContribute to enterprise project management standards, best practices, and continuous process improvement effortsEnsure timely escalation of issues and provide thoughtful recommendations to leadership teamsQualifications of the Project Manager III: 5+ years of progressive project and/or program management experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiativesStrong preference for healthcare and/or healthcare payer experienceExperience supporting front office, finance, or operational healthcare initiatives depending on project alignmentProven ability to manage long-term enterprise projects with budgets typically around $1M+ and cross-functional teams of 10+ individualsDemonstrated success managing projects lasting one year or longer with clearly defined outcomes and measurable business impactStrong schedule management experience, including project timelines, milestone tracking, dependency management, and risk mitigationExperience navigating ambiguity and operating effectively within fast-paced, evolving environmentsStrong stakeholder management, executive communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to independently assess projects, establish direction, and drive execution with minimal oversightExperience presenting project updates, recommendations, and risk assessments to leadership and business stakeholdersFamiliarity with PMI methodologies and PMBOK principlesPMP certification is considered a plus but is not requiredM&A or integration experience is helpful but not requiredBachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceAdditional Notes:Candidates must be flexible with travel requirements and limited planned PTO during the summer monthsPrior experience within healthcare insurance/payer organizations is highly valuedCandidates with experience in other highly regulated industries may also be consideredCandidates with heavily IT-focused project backgrounds or primarily technology implementation experience may not align well with these opportunities**We are unable to accommodate corp. to corp. candidates**About Motus Recruiting and Staffing, Inc:Founded in 2006, Motus is an award-winning recruiting and staffing firm in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in professional services and technology solutions.
