Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA)/Front Desk professional to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills combined with exceptional patient communication abilities. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment providing comprehensive dental care. The successful candidate will be committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities This position requires two roles of responsibilities: 1. Chair side: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques; Take and record vital signs and medical history for patients, including medical documentation and medical records management; Operate dental imaging equipment, including X-ray machines and 3D scanners, be comfortable with Planmeca Romexis software of CBCT images and intra-oral X-rays; ensuring proper safety protocols are followed (Aseptic technique and infection control); and Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following strict infection control procedures. 2. Front desk: Manage patient check-in and check-out processes at the front desk, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries; Maintain accurate dental terminology and coding for procedures using Dentrix and be comfortable with it; Must have excellent communication and people skills. Greet patients when they walk in; take phone calls; confirm appointments; and verify patients' insurance on a daily basis; and Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality. Skills Proficiency in Dentrix platform; Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry; Proficient experience with Plameca Romixis CBCT dental imaging equipment including intra-oral X-rays; Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedure; Ability to perform chair side assisting in general dentistry settings; Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standard; Excellent communication skills for front desk responsibilities and patient interaction; Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. This position is integral to delivering exceptional patient care while supporting the clinical team through efficient administrative practices.
