Controller

Regional business advisory firm headquartered in Ridgeland, MS is looking for a Controller to lead and assist with client engagements. Our firm provides full service business advisory services to start-up and high growth companies across the Country. These services include fractional CFO and controller services, operations support, business model development, fundraising support, and strategic consulting services.Job duties include:- Serving as fractional controller for multiple clients- Overseeing and/or performing month end close for clients- Assisting client finance department staffs on issues / questions- Advising clients on financial and business processes- Advising management on financial performance measures- Preparing and analyzing financial statements and client dashboards- Preparing presentations for client management teams and board of directors- Analyzing financial impact for client business decisions- Some travel requiredJob candidate requirements include:- Energetic and a positive attitude- Ability to learn fast and desire to improve skill and experience level- Currently in controller, assistant controller, or senior staff accounting role- MBA, CPA not required but a plus- Quickbooks Online experience (required)- Strong Excel skills (required)- Strong understanding of financial statements and GAAP- Self-starter, self-motivated- Professional appearance and attitude- Ability to work well with and build relationships with clients- Strong organizational skills- Detail oriented work ethic- Good communication skills, written and verbal- Ability to multi task, working with multiple clients on multiple projects simultaneouslyCompensation will include salary, health benefits, incentive plan, and expense allowances.
