This position acts as the liaison between Meeting Planners and the hotel staff. Responsibilities include: administering the Sales agreement, detailing all Food, Beverage and A/V needs, managing room blocks and pick up, billing instructions and final review. Event Planning Managers also are the on-site contacts and are responsible for the smooth execution of all events.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and manage events such as conferences, meetings, weddings, corporate functions, and social gatheringsCollaborate with clients or internal stakeholders to understand event goals, budgets, and expectationsDevelop event timelines, schedules, and detailed execution plansSource, negotiate, and manage vendors (venues, catering, entertainment, décor, etc.)Oversee event logistics including setup, transportation, accommodations, and on-site coordinationManage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost efficiencyLead and coordinate event staff and volunteersEnsure compliance with safety regulations, permits, and insurance requirementsHandle unexpected issues and provide quick, effective solutions during eventsEvaluate event success and gather feedback for continuous improvementAssisting in creating an exceptional experience for guests and colleaguesThe salary range for the position is $60,000 to $70,000.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field (preferred)A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment. Refined verbal and written communication skillsA minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferredMust be proficient in general computer knowledgeCandidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast paced environmentPrefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee programPreferred candidate has completed PSS or equivalent trainingJ-18808-Ljbffr
