Plant Operator - Night Shift
WIN Waste Innovations is looking for an Environmental Technician to operate and maintain the Hydrogen Sulfide Treatment Plant, Gas Collection and Control System (GCCS), and Leachate Collection System (LCS) systems as required by Local, County, State and Federal regulations.ResponsibilitiesCollect samples and record data on the operation of the control systems as required.Evaluate data and make informed decisions effecting the day-to-day operations of the control systems.Conduct repairs and perform preventive maintenance on flare, treatment plant and other associated controls systems per manufacture specifications.Respond to system malfunctions and operate on a rotating on call schedule.Requirements3 years landfill experience or technical skills certificateHas experience in mechanical work and electrical diagnosticsHas experience or has demonstrated a high degree of aptitude in analytical problem solvingHas experience using field testing equipment, meters and various sampling equipmentHas experience in the use of hand tools, power tools and pneumatic toolsHas the ability to read and interpret operating manuals, schematics, and drawingsPLC, SCADA, and other controls experienceAir compressor maintenance experience refrigerated dryer knowledgeHas experience working on blowers and electric motors, pneumatic and electric pumpsAbility to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays to include Night ShiftMaintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.Preferred SkillsLow voltage electrical troubleshootingEmissions controls, analyzer operation knowledge/experienceSafety orientatedPhysical Demands Include But Is Not Limited ToHandle tools, equipment, fine motor skillsReach with hands and armsClimb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feetAscend and descend stairs and stationary vertical ladders as part of normal work activity and emergency egress situationsLift moderate to heavy material 50 lbs.
