LUKE'S CLINIC - DULUTH - 1001 E SUPERIOR ST in Duluth, MN is seeking a RADIATION THERAPIST to join our RADIATION ONCOLOGY team!Salary Range: $34.19 - $49.57 HourlySchedule/Hours: Weekdays, DAY ONLY, 8 hoursWeekend Requirement: Generally No WeekendsFTE: FULL TIME, 1.000000 FTEFlex FTE: Yes, 0. 80- 1. 00JOB SUMMARYThe Radiation Therapist, under the medical direction of the Radiation Oncologist and in consultation with the Physicist, insures optimal radiation treatment course through proper planning and implementation of radiation therapy processes, including interpretation, analysis and coordination of optimal radiation therapy for each patient.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Graduate of accredited radiation therapist program.Experience: N/ALicensure/Certification/Registration: Registered as a Radiation Therapist RT(T), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technology within six (6) months of employment. BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Science.Experience: CT simulation experience, radiation therapy experience.Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/AKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge of radiation safety principles, Universal Precautions, generally accepted quality control practices for radiation services. Knowledge of personal computing applications. Knowledge of customer relation principles. Ability to accurately perform radiation therapy processes. Ability to work independently under general administrative, medical and physicist direction. Ability to prioritize tasks without compromising patient care. Ability to demonstrate positive customer relations and present a professional image. Ability to work constructively with other persons. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality. Ability to perform computer functions associated with radiation therapy equipment. Ability to participate in orientation of new personnel and teaching of students. Ability to write legibly, see, read, hear, and speak English.READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.AGE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES - Skilled at assessment and knowledgeable of growth and development.
