OverviewThe Level II Technician performs all aspects of MHE planned and unplanned maintenance service on LP or electric equipment. Individual must be an expert in one of the two (LP or electrical) and self-sufficient on all repairs associated to this equipment.This position requires knowledge of mechanics, hand tools, and basic automotive experience. Must have computer experience, good communication skills and good customer service skills. This position will report to a lead tech or manager level and support level 3 techs.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for forklift (LP and electrical) Preventative Maintenance servicesFluid change, engine oil, transmission fluid, differential gear lube and hydraulic fluid.Filter replacements, Air filter, oil filter, fuel filter and ATF filter.Perform Tune Up’s- adjust valves and replace spark plug and spark plug wires.Brake / riser adjustmentsInspect and repack wheel bearingsInspect and water forklift batteries on a defined scheduleBattery removal, repairs, and installsEquipment paint touch ups as requiredAttachment pad rotationsPart replacements as necessary – can include horns, lights, tires, etc.Basic overheating trouble shooting and repair knowledge.Perform steering trouble shooting and repairMeet a minimum of 30 Completed PM Services per monthKeep a minimum of a 80 - 90% productivity levelQualificationsMust have a 1-2 years experience with trouble shooting skills with electric equipment or LP equipmentExperience in basic repairs of electric or LP equipment.Experience in attachment repairs.Basic electrical, LP, hydraulic system, and DVOM knowledgeBasic wiring schematic reading experienceMust be able to read and follow service manual instructions.
