Travel ASL Interpreter | Great Falls, Montana

A position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter to support communication needs within a school environment. This role involves facilitating effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their teachers, classmates, and other school personnel. The interpreter will travel as needed to various school locations to provide these services.Responsibilities:Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction, meetings, and school eventsFacilitate communication in one-on-one and group settings to ensure equal access to educational contentMaintain confidentiality and professional ethics in all interactionsCollaborate with educators and support staff to enhance the learning environment for students requiring interpreting servicesTravel to different school sites as necessary to provide consistent supportQualifications:Proficiency in American Sign Language with strong interpreting skillsExperience working in educational settings preferredAbility to travel within the assigned areaExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong commitment to confidentiality and cultural sensitivityLocation:Great Falls, Montana area with required travel to local schools
