Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Third Shift Mold Setup Technician / Process Technician to join our injection molding team. This position is responsible for mold changes, machine setup, process startup, troubleshooting, and maintaining efficient production of quality molded parts throughout the shift. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with injection molding equipment, mold installation, and process optimization in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Perform mold changes and setup of injection molding machines according to production schedules.
Install, connect, and verify proper operation of molds, water lines, hydraulic circuits, hot runner systems, and auxiliary equipment.
Start-up injection molding presses and establish approved processing parameters.
Troubleshoot molding, machine, tooling, and quality issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
Monitor running presses and make process adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
Maintain accurate production and process documentation.
Communicate production status, process concerns, and equipment issues during shift handoffs.
Qualifications
Required
Experience in injection molding, mold setup, or process technician roles.
Ability to perform mold changes independently.
Experience starting and troubleshooting injection molding presses.
Ability to read and understand setup sheets, process documentation, and production schedules.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment (or willingness to be trained).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred
Experience with scientific molding principles.
Familiarity with hydraulic, electric, and hybrid injection molding machines.
Experience with hot runner systems and automation equipment.
Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
