You will work in a collaborative environment that values mentorship, innovation, and professional growth, allowing you to develop your skills, make a visible impact, and build confidence as part of a close-knit team.Position OverviewThe Power Studies Engineer role is ideal for a highly experienced, customer-facing engineer who leads the planning, execution, and delivery of advanced power system studies across portfolios of utility-scale solar, battery storage, and substation projects. This role operates with significant independence, identifying and implementing optimized technical solutions that enhance system performance, reliability, and overall project outcomes. Power Studies Engineers are responsible for reviewing and quality-controlling junior engineers’ analyses while actively mentoring and developing emerging technical talent.What You’ll DoPerform system studies including short circuit, arc flash, load flow, transient overvoltage, and harmonics analyses Utilize software tools such as PSSE, ETAP, EasyPower, PSCAD, and similar platforms Provide high‑quality technical support for wind, solar, and BESS generator owners in a fast‑paced environment Develop and refine procedures for emerging or new study areas Identify opportunities and support business development initiatives Use Python scripting to automate and improve study processesPerform any other duties as needed.What You BringBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering A minimum of 2 years of working experience, with at least 3 years of experience directly related to power systemsExperience with programming in Python preferred Independently completes assigned tasks required Actively manages individual workload Must be a self-starter and willing to identify improvements and implement them, utilizing support from others Must be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude Excellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clients and external agencies Work Environment & BenefitsThis role is preferred onsite in Maitland, FL, but has an option of remote work.Competitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurance (if applicable)Paid time off, company holidays, and professional growth opportunitiesSupportive culture committed to mentorship, innovation, and continuous improvement
