If you want to work with the most talented people on Earth furthering space exploration for humanity, come join us.Vast is looking for a Operations & Technical Experience Specialist, reporting to the Senior Manager, Experience to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of human-rated space stations.This will be a full-time, exempt located in our Long Beach location.ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end production of experiences: design development, fabrication, logistics, installation, live operation, and teardownDay-to-day performance and evolution of HQ experiences, ensuring they remain operational, compelling, and forward-lookingRoadshow deployments—leading teams to execute seamless builds and breakdowns across multiple locationsTechnical systems across experiences, including power, HVAC, AV, and interactive elementsPartner with S&R to plan and execute site logistics—from surveys to generator/HVAC setup and complianceOwn vendor and fabricator relationships, pushing for quality, speed, and innovationFamiliarity with union labor environments and large-scale venue buildsStrong technical fluency (power, HVAC, structures, AV, or similar hands-on systems)Ability to lead onsite labor teams and make decisions quickly under pressureTroubleshoot and problem-solve in real time during event executionAdditional RequirementsAbility to travel up to 30% of the timeWillingness to work overtime or weekends to support eventsAbility to lift up to 25lbs unassistedPreferred QualificationsExperience working on large-scale or high-visibility eventsFamiliarity with technical production (AV, staging, lighting, fabrication, power management)Experience in aerospace, tech, or highly regulated industriesForklift certifiedPay RangeOperations & Technical Experience Specialist I (Non-Exempt) : $31.00 - 44.00Operations & Technical Experience Specialist I| (Exempt) : $86,000 - $120,000Pay Range: California$86,000—$120,000 USDCompensation And BenefitsBase salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
