Our platform helps homeowners monitor and care for their properties while they are away through scheduled visits, real-time updates, photo documentation, and on-demand property services.Role DescriptionEverAway is looking for a Part-Time Full-Stack App Developer & Product Designer to take ongoing ownership of our mobile app, website, admin portal, and supporting technology after the completion of our current development engagement.This is initially a small, part-time contractor role, with the opportunity to grow over time as EverAway expands. The primary focus will be maintaining the existing platform, resolving bugs and technical issues, managing releases and integrations, and making thoughtful product improvements.We are specifically looking for someone who is not only technically strong, but also has a good eye for design and user experience. We want a developer who can make updates and new features that look polished, intuitive, and consistent with the rest of the product—not simply functional.You will work directly with EverAway’s founders and management team and become our primary technical resource for the platform.Responsibilities* Complete a structured technical handoff from our current development team and become familiar with the existing codebase, architecture, databases, hosting, deployment process, and integrations.* Maintain and support EverAway’s mobile app, website, admin portal, APIs, databases, and supporting services.* Diagnose and fix bugs, production issues, performance problems, and integration failures.* Manage app releases, deployments, version control, monitoring, and technical documentation.* Support third-party integrations such as payments, notifications, mapping, background checks, analytics, and other platform services.* Make ongoing improvements and smaller feature enhancements as the business evolves.* Design and implement polished UI/UX updates for new and existing features.* Help turn rough product ideas into well-designed, practical solutions.* Identify opportunities to improve usability, reliability, and the overall customer experience.* Be reasonably available for occasional urgent production issues.Qualifications* Strong full-stack development experience with production web and/or mobile applications.* Experience taking over and maintaining code originally built by another development team.* Strong troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.* Experience with APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, third-party integrations, source control, and deployments.* Experience maintaining iOS and/or Android applications is strongly preferred.* Strong UI/UX instincts and attention to visual detail.* Ability to independently design and implement interfaces that feel polished and professional.* Ability to communicate clearly with nontechnical founders and stakeholders.* Reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently in a startup environment.Preferred Experience* Marketplace, gig-economy, scheduling, property-services, or transaction-based applications.* Stripe or Stripe Connect.* Apple App Store and Google Play releases.* AWS, Cloudflare, Twilio, Mapbox, Firebase, analytics, or similar services.* Product design, front-end design, or UI/UX experience.Time CommitmentThis is not initially a full-time position. Hours may be somewhat higher during the initial technical handoff and transition period, then decrease to a relatively small ongoing weekly commitment.
