Social Worker (Residential Director)

Job: Social Worker (Residential Director) Location: Chapel Hill, NC Job Type: Full-time (Days) Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Residential Director (Social Worker) to oversee the daily operations of a residential care program in Chapel Hill, NC. This role involves ensuring the well-being and safety of residents, managing staff, and implementing programs that support individuals in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work and residential care, with experience in leadership and program management. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential program, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Supervise, hire, train, and manage the performance of residential staff. Develop and implement individualized care plans that address residents' physical, emotional, and social needs. Collaborate with medical, therapeutic, and support services to provide comprehensive care for residents. Monitor and manage the program budget and resources, ensuring efficient and effective use of funds. Foster a safe, inclusive environment and address concerns or incidents in a timely manner. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field. Administrative and supervisory experience in counseling, healthcare management, substance abuse, or mental health services, with experience in a director-level role. Strong knowledge of community resources, advocacy services, and NC Division of MHDDSAS service definitions, requirements, and compliance regulations. Experience in situational leadership, from task management to strategic decision-making. Preferred Experience: Experience working with individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse issues. Proficiency in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
