Electrical Engineer - E2

Overview As an Electrical Engineer in Lockheed Martin’s Hardware Engineering team, you will design, develop, and field electrical hardware for missiles, sensors, and mission-critical subsystems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve integration and interface challenges and contribute to design reviews and assurance processes. The role focuses on hardware design, testing, and documentation to ensure robust, compliant electronics for defense programs. Compensation / BenefitsMedicalDentalVisionFlexible work arrangements (e.g., 4x10)401(k) matchPaid time off ResponsibilitiesConduct electrical testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis on production hardware using advanced instruments and automated test equipmentDevelop robust interconnect solutions including power distribution, signal integrity routing, grounding, shielding, and mil-spec connectors/cablesCollaborate with systems, software, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve integration/interface challengesManage nonconforming hardware through MRB processes and implement corrective actionsCreate and maintain technical documentation (schematics, test procedures, failure reports, engineering change packages)Support the Design Assurance process and participate in design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)Interface with suppliers to ensure specifications, issue resolution, and traceabilityEnsure compliance and traceability across hardware deliveries Key requirementsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or closely related STEM fieldMinimum 1 year of professional experience in electrical hardware design or related disciplineExperience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad, Mentor Graphics, Cadence)Experience with circuit simulation/analysis tools (PSpice, LTspice, Simulink, MATLAB)Hands-on experience with electrical/electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, DMMs, automated test equipment)Experience with electrical interconnect design (power distribution, signal integrity, grounding, shielding, mil-spec connectors/cables)Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearanceEffective communication in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentTroubleshooting and debugging complex electrical systems (analog and digital)Ability to work with cross-functional teams and suppliersCircuit design and layoutSignal integrity and EMC/EMI principlesDFM/DFT concepts
