DescriptionPosition at Lincoln IndustriesJob Title: WelderJob Code: WELD001SUMMARY:The purpose of this job is to weld fabricated pipe components; meeting product specifications and quality requirements by applying appropriate welding techniques.WAGE TYPE: HourlyFLSA Exemption: Non-exemptESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Mig & Tig welding, preferably AWS certifiedAbility to weld thin wall tube applicationsExperience welding 3 and 4 series stainless steel and carbon steelWelding spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead, etc.Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary to satisfy the technical/quality requirements of a welded final productControl the processes of fitting, burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of partsExamining finished products and spare parts to verify that they meet specification requirementsBeing in charge of preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment to weldWork within a team environment and train new welders as needed.Good mechanical knowledge. Ability to read blueprints is required.Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals.Environmental responsibility is our commitment to our communities.Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected.Any other tasks as required to fulfill Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:Reports to: Team LeaderQUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
