As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. You will work with a wide range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs, performing various mechanical and electrical repairs. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for automotive maintenance.Responsibilities:Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.Repair and replace worn-out or faulty parts and components, such as brake systems, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems or issues.Provide accurate estimates for repairs and communicate with Service Advisors about the necessary repairs and maintenance.Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends.Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.Master our Dealer Management System (Reynolds) for work distribution, electronic inspections, repair quotes and communication.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Certification or formal training in automotive technology.Proven experience as an Automotive Technician.Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and computer diagnostics.Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.Other Duties:Read manufacturer's drawings and manualsBasic computer and internet literacyOperate a variety of hand, power, and shop toolsKeep shop equipment operating (maintain, troubleshoot, repair, etc.)Drive manual transmission vehiclesUse computer diagnostic equipment
