Data Engineer Remote Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate - $40.00 - $50.00/hr (Depending on experience)We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team and grow into a core contributor on our data infrastructure and analytics initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their data engineering career to build hands-on experience with enterprise-scale pipelines, cloud platforms, and business intelligence tools while working closely with senior engineers who will mentor your growth.If you interested in learning more about this position, we encourage you to apply!Responsibilities:Build and maintain data pipelines and workflowsDevelop data ingestion, transformation, and integration processesManage and document data schemas and metadataPartner with analysts and business users to translate data needs into technical solutionsRun data quality checks and troubleshoot pipeline issuesAutomate manual data processes to improve efficiencyWork hands-on with cloud-based data tools and platforms (Azure)Stay current with emerging data technologies and best practicesParticipate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies with the teamRequirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or a related field1–3 years of experience in a data engineering or analytics support roleProficiency in SQL and relational databasesWorking knowledge of Python for data processingUnderstanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing conceptsStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyCollaborative mindset with a desire to learn from senior team members in a mentorship-driven environmentPreferred Experience(Bonus):Familiarity with the retail energy industryExposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred)Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)Familiarity with CRM systems and customer dataCertifications in data engineering or cloud technologiesWhat’s in it for you?A welcoming, team-oriented environment where you’ll gain hands-on experience with a Fortune 100 company.
