EHS Specialist

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), or equivalent. Applicants with an Associate's degree or no degree but exceptional qualifications are encouraged to apply. Focus on Health and Safety; familiarity with HAZMAT and/or chemicals is a plus. Preferably, experience with unions. EPA/Regulatory background is acceptable, with manufacturing experience preferred. Demonstrated strong leadership skills and a drive to progress in the corporate hierarchy. Job Description: This role entails driving a safety-oriented culture and fostering accountability within the team. Previously reactive, the focus is now on proactive safety measures. The plant, which previously received an “F” rating for safety and chemicals, is improving, partly due to corporate support. We seek a candidate who can effectively engage with employees, coach leadership, and ensure buy-in for safety initiatives. The plant is sizable, spanning 650,000 square feet with 450+ employees across three shifts.
