We are dual-certified experts in treating alcohol use, opioid use, and substance abuse disorders, as well as the co-occurring conditions that often accompany them.We are seeking a Therapist to add to our dynamic team!ResponsibilitiesPerform resident assessments to determine level of care within facilityDevelop and implement a plan of treatment and aftercare plans for the resident and/or family, including obtaining collateral information from family and support networkEvaluate resident progress and revise treatment plan as neededProvide knowledgeable of community resources available for residents and familiesAssumes case management responsibilities for assigned residents as neededPerform crisis intervention, including management of difficult or resistant residents, utilizing clinically appropriate accepted techniques and methodsPresent resident cases for discussion with the multidisciplinary team and keeps current case presentation outlines for each residentDevelops, implements, and coordinates educational lectures and therapy programs, including conducting morning focus, community meeting and psych educational lecturesResponsible for resident, staff, and self-safety at all timesTakes responsibility for maintaining and monitoring resident records to ensure documentation is completed within program guidelinesDocumentation meets standards, policies, and established timeframesMaintains a good working relationship within the department and with other departmentsTreats residents/families with respect and dignityPerforms all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errorsFacilitates individual, group and family sessions, AMA interventions and individualizes progress notes in a clinically relevant mannerSets appropriate professional boundaries and avoid entering into dual relationshipsStays current with new techniques, advances through seminars, conferences, continuing education classes, professional societies and journals, etc.Demonstrates skills to be able to intervene in a crisis situation (i.e., Suicide/homicidal ideation or attempts, family conflict, resident to resident conflictsQualificationsMaster's degree in social work, MHC, Psychology, Public Administration, or similarly related fieldLMHC or LCSW certification or license eligibleAt least two (2) years of experience in a Therapist/Counselor position working directly with residents is preferredMust have superior interpersonal skills and be proficient in delivering individual, group, family therapy and case-management servicesKnowledge of federal, state, and local regulations relating to substance abuse programs and knowledge of Joint Commission and DCF requirements is preferredProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the ability to navigate EMR systems requiredExcellent documentation skillsWe're officially a Great Place To Work!
