Front Load Commercial CDL Trash Truck Driver - Home Nightly

If you’re interested in a no overnights, have a Class B CDL (required) or Class A (preferred), excellent at Customer Service, and are a Team Player, this may be the job for you! TransTrash is seeking a FT CDL Driver for collection of waste and recyclable material. The driver is responsible for operating trucks with hydraulic forks to lift and empty large commercial dumpsters, collecting material, and transporting waste to the disposal facility. This position would run Monday through Friday, with optional Saturdays. The shift would start around 1 or 2AM and be done by 10 or 11AM depending on the day/route. There is a little flexibility to these times. Responsibilities Follow routes on tablet properly and collect all customers waste materials Safely maneuver vehicle in tight environments Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner Comply with company provided literature, training, and all existing Federal, State, Local and Company requirements, rules, and regulations that pertain to personal safety in the performance of duties Perform routine inspections per DOT regulations pre and post trip daily Operate hydraulic lift and compactor mechanism to lift/load materials from dumpsters into truck Collect solid waste from designated bins along route by loading the waste into the truck hopper Clean up area around dumpsters due to accidential waste spill or customer overages Requirements Class A or B CDL license Ability to work 40-45 hours per week Ability to function in a wide variety of environments to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather Ability to stoop, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds Ability to sit in truck for a long period of time Ability to mount and dismount the truck multiple times per day to perform duties of position as well as check fluids, safety equipment, lights and tire pressure on truck daily Ability to open and secure service gates while servicing customers Ability to operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load dumpsters on/off truck 2 years related experience in transportation industry Oral and written communication skills with ability to maintain strong documentation Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes labor hours, and updating work order statuses TransTrash Perks PTO Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Life 401k & matching Uniform provided for specific positions Great team and work environment TransTrash is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not unlawfully discriminate against employees or applicants on the basis of an individual’s race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
