Job Title: Electronics Integration SpecialistJob Category: EngineeringTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: SecretEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: Local* * *The OpportunityThe Electronics Integration Specialist supports the design, integration, fabrication, and testing of electrical subsystems and circuit card assemblies across a range of prototype and low-rate production hardware platforms. This role serves as a hands-on technical contributor working closely with engineering teams to develop, integrate, and validate electrical systems in support of rapid prototyping and mission-driven development efforts.The position bridges electrical engineering and fabrication by combining subsystem integration, PCB population, and system-level troubleshooting, while contributing to design refinement, documentation development, and overall system performance.ResponsibilitiesSupport the integration, fabrication, and modification of electrical subsystems, including wiring harnesses, PCB assemblies, and embedded hardwareProvide technical input to engineering designs, including component selection, layout considerations, and integration approachesInstall, route, and integrate electrical components such as connectors, sensors, power distribution modules, control systems, and communication devicesPerform system-level diagnostics and root cause analysis across electrical subsystems and integrated hardware platformsInterpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts to support integration and troubleshooting effortsSupport PCB population and rework activities, including fine-pitch and surface-mount components, in accordance with design and quality requirementsOperate and maintain PCB assembly equipment, including pick-and-place systems, to support prototype and low-rate production buildsDevelop and maintain technical documentation including wiring diagrams, build procedures, and technical data packages (TDPs)Support configuration management efforts by maintaining accurate build records, test data, and revision trackingCollaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Systems Engineering teams to support subsystem integration and overall system performanceSupport system testing, integration events, and field activities as requiredQualificationsRequired:Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearanceBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Technology, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience3+ years of experience supporting electrical systems, PCB assemblies, or complex electromechanical hardwareDemonstrated experience with electrical integration, PCB population, and subsystem-level troubleshootingAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB assembly drawingsStrong understanding of electronic components, circuit behavior, and power distribution fundamentalsExperience with soldering, harness fabrication, and connector termination in an engineering or prototyping environmentStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across electrical systemsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environmentDesiredActive DoD security clearanceExperience supporting prototype development, rapid prototyping, or low-rate production environmentsExperience with PCB rework and component-level diagnosticsFamiliarity with RF systems, communication hardware, or embedded systemsIPC certifications (e.g., IPC-610, J-STD-001)Experience supporting integration, test events, or field operationsFamiliarity with configuration management practices and technical documentation developmentWhat You Can Expect A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
