We partner with major retailers, supplying high-volume, high quality plant material, and pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service.We are currently seeking a Team Lead to build and oversee a team of Merchandisers who will deliver specialized merchandising services for Walmart on behalf of wholesale suppliers. This role includes providing extensive training on the proper care of live goods, such as annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs. The Team Lead will also guide the Simply Set merchandising team in training and supporting retail associates, ensuring they effectively manage their garden center operations and confidently engage with customers.RequirementsSupervisory Responsibilities:Recruit, interview, hire, and train Seasonal Merchandisers within the assigned marketManage and oversee the day-to-day workflow and operations of the marketAdminister employee discipline and terminations in accordance with company policiesEssential Duties:Oversee one assigned market consisting of 7-12 storesInterview, hire, and train merchandisers for all assigned stores, ensuring team members live near their locations to minimize drive time and mileageTrain and support the team to:Execute retail merchandising tasks, including product placement, displays, and signageTrain store associates on proper watering practicesImplement assigned retail schematics and merchandising materialsEnsure all merchandising meets Walmart's established standardsTrain retail staff to complete scheduled tasksCaptured before-and-after photos of displays and merchandising plans and submit them to the Regional ManagerConsistently meet company and client objectivesClock in and out using Volt and Chronotek for each store visitCommunicate and collaborate effectively with store management, associates, and suppliersDeliver exceptional customer serviceStrictly adhere to the assigned weekly labor hour budgetVisit each assigned store on a weekly basisWork regularly alongside merchandisers in-store, including possible documentationUpload only approved specification photos to OneDriveMaintain ongoing communication with the Regional Manager via email, text and phoneReport any issues or concerns to the Regional Manager immediatelySubmit weekly schedules for yourself and merchandisers to the Regional Manager by Friday evening of the prior week, and promptly communicate any changesSaturday hours are required from April through October, holiday work may be required during peak seasonAll time-off requests must be approved by the Regional ManagerQualifications:Strong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service abilitiesHigh level of attention to detailProven leadership skillsEnjoys working outdoors with annual and perennial plantsAbility to work in all weather conditionsMust own and be able to use a smartphoneMust possess a smart phoneCompletion of Scintilla In-Store certification required prior to start dateValid driver license and reliable transportation requiredBenefitsHealth and Dental InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Seasonal Paid Time Off (SPTO)401(K) retirement plan, with eligibility after one year of service
