Contract ManagerPosition SummaryThe Contract Manager shall serve as the senior-level authority responsible for the overallmanagement, administration, and oversight of the Ferry operations contract. This individualshall act as the primary point of contact for all contract-related matters and shall have finalauthority on issues related to contract interpretation, compliance, and performance.While the Contract Manager may have additional responsibilities outside of this agreement, theymust remain readily accessible and available on short notice to attend meetings, respond toissues, and ensure that all contractual obligations are fulfilled to the satisfaction of theorganization.Disclaimer: This position is part of a contract bid. Please note that inclusion in the proposal does not guarantee employment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Contract Manager shall, at a minimum:Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and the contractor for allcontractual and performance-related mattersExercise final authority on contract interpretation, compliance determinations, andresolution of contract-related issuesOversee and monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with all contractualrequirements, including service delivery, safety standards, and operational expectationsEnsure that ferry operations are delivered in a safe, reliable, and efficient mannerconsistent with the terms of the agreementAdminister all aspects of the contract, including review and processing of amendments,changes, and required documentationIdentify, assess, and manage contractual risks, and take appropriate action to addressperformance deficienciesCoordinate with internal staff, legal counsel, and external stakeholders to support contractadministration and issue resolution Support the resolution of claims, disputes, and non-compliance issues in a timely andeffective manner Attend and participate in meetings as required to support contract oversight andperformance managementMaintain appropriate records and documentation related to contract activitiesMinimum QualificationsThe Contract Manager shall possess the following qualifications:? Bachelor's degree in marine operations, marine engineering, business administration, or arelated field? A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in a similar rolethat involves contract management, marine transportation and/or similar operationalenvironments? Demonstrated experience in leadership, oversight, and management of complex contractsor programsComparable experience and equivalent qualifications may be considered.Preferred Qualifications? Experience managing ferry or marine transportation service contracts? Experience in public-sector or highly regulated contracting environments? Familiarity with large-scale operations involving safety, service delivery, andinfrastructure coordinationRequired Competencies? Strong professional judgment and decision-making capabilities? Ability to interpret and enforce complex contractual requirements? Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills? Proven ability to identify and resolve complex operational and contractual issues? High level of organization, accountability, and attention to detail
